Justin A. Guy
I have a penis, therefore I am. The following is going to be told in a frank
manner and though the prude and depraved may find it obscene to discuss such,
let's get real.
When a heterosexual man gives another heterosexual man a review of a recent Hollywood hunk of Americana trash that features the latest nubile starlet, one question arises almost instantaneously: "So, do you see anything?" For those of you who for one reason or another need clarification; what the question refers to is whether or not the young starlet reveals herself on screen.
The internet - pioneered by the porn industry - is a bastion of frozen video
images from every movie churned out by the bowels of Hollywood. Images of nearly every actress to grace the silver screen in freeze frame moments of nudity. A haven of masturbation vaster, and cheaper than any local video store.
Now this is not to say that the movie industry or the internet are founded on
the exploitation of the bodies of women (no, of course not); it is merely an
enormous facet of these two mediums.
I've discussed a certain factor amongst my heterosexual male friends, that we
call the Hungry Enough factor. By this observation we eagerly await the point in the lives of Hollywood actresses when their careers will become stagnant. Work will dry up for them as younger and more "talented" bodies appear on the scene, they will subsequently become unemployed and hungry. When they become Hungry Enough, we find that they make a new entrance on the scene, this time willing to bare it all for the cameras. At this time my friends and I eagerly run out and rent the videos.
Disgusting? Chauvinistic? Pathetic? You'd think so wouldn't you, but if the
majority rules, then how can this all add up negatively? Let's be realistic.
Minus a few exceptions and the homosexual demographic, men love to see and
fantasies about as many naked women as possible. A few perverts does not
account for a multi billion dollar industry online and a ridiculously
profitable American movie cartel. Don't be naive, sex and nudity make your
world go round, to believe otherwise is ignorance.
Yet the purpose of this article is not to point out the obvious to a few
ostriches who've got their heads jammed in the ground; my point is of one of
concern. Sure, it's a great time to be a man - and my god, I can't imagine
how bountiful the spoils of flesh are for up and coming men in the form of
pubescent teenagers, but damn, with cable tv and the lot... - but I digress.
It is a fantastic time to be a man, as there are thousands, nay, millions of
beautiful women just throwing themselves at the opportunity to make a few
bucks. What worries me is that as the bonds of good taste have been loosened
so, and the point to a film (once an art form) is now how naked the lead
actress gets; what are we deteriorating towards?
I jest for the most part about the splendor of manhood amongst the waste
lands of carnal imagery, because realistically I can appreciate the beauty
and sensuality of a women who has not gone Hungry Enough yet. And though I joke about it with my friends I'd like to think that some of these women can
hold on to their dignity and allure by never caving in to what hetro men
really want at the bottom line. I wish more women realized their power.
