Nazareth - Hair of the Dog

It was 1975 and we were blazing around the suburban back streets in Jim's Mom's Monaco station wagon. It was is a fabulous warm summer night. No need to regard stop signs on a night like this? Especially when Connor is on the roof gripping the pseudo luggage rack and screaming the words to the title track.. We could barely hear his screams over the blaring eight track. These Scottish freaks can rock and they were heating up the evening perfectly.

I couldn't help but notice the sudden absence of rhythm in Connor's screams as we were about to rocket through another stop sign only this time we could see headlights approaching the intersection from the cross street. Of course Jim (the skilled driver he was) slammed on his brakes. And of course Connor (with his kung fu grip) executed a perfect 180 degree rotation with arms extended. He slammed onto the hood of the car and dismounted rather awkwardly. We didn't see this again until Nadia's perfect 10 at the 76 Olympics.

I seem to recall some hostility towards Jim after this event.
